We are looking for people to volunteer on our 24-hour Crisis Helpline! As a volunteer advocate you will be responding to those directly impacted by domestic and sexual violence by providing immediate and confidential access to information, resources, and support. The training will run every Tuesday and Thursday night from 5:30 to 8:30 starting on February 5th and ending on February 26th in Aspen.
Response is excited to announce that we have been chosen as the 2019 charity beneficiary of the Roaring Fork Charity Classic. This long-standing charity golf tournament will be held this year on May 7th at the Roaring Fork Club in Basalt. All while learning more about, and supporting, the work of Response! Curated by Alya Howe of Writ Large, in collaboration with The Wheeler Opera House, and hosted by Response!
In collaboration with the Aspen Police Department, Response presents an intriguing presentation from Jason Brewer, of Alpine Springs Counseling, about domestic violence offender behavior and treatment.
So far this year Response Advocates have donated over 2,000 hours on-call and answered over 100 calls, providing help and reassurance to people in crisis. This service would not be possible without a dedicated team of highly trained volunteers. Please consider joining us in this vital work!
